Mike Steinkruger – Owner/Administrator:

After 6 years developing my nursing career at the University of Iowa, I followed an elderly gentleman home through many levels of care and knew my future was with assisting seniors to be as independent as possible during their last years. After 25 years of turning around, developing and building senior options of care, I am now living my dream of ownership

Deb Haugen – Administrator:

I started my career in long-term care as an office manager in my hometown. I was interested in furthering my career, so went back to school to get my degree in Long-Term Care Administration. I became licensed in 1987 and have thoroughly enjoyed working with staff, residents, and families in long-term care. In 1989, CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid) rewrote the federal nursing home rules. For the first time in nearly thirty years, CMS has again rewritten the Requirements of Participation for long-term care. It has been an ongoing process to get all the facility policies and procedures updated. It is a joy to return to my roots of a community home with neighbor taking care of neighbors!

Kim Wadey – Business Office/Manager:

I have worked at Valley View for than 25 years. My responsibilities currently are overseeing the dining services, and most recently, taking the helm of the office responsibilities. We have great food and it is my utmost goal to make your experience, as you enter Valley View, a positive. As the old saying goes, “You never get a second chance in making a first impression”! Rae Gallmeyer – RN Health Services Supervisor:

I started my career as a certified nurses aide and loved working with the residents and getting to know them. I slowly worked my way up the nursing ladder by becoming an LPN in 2008. I returned to school four years later obtaining my Associates Degree and Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. I have worked in many areas of nursing including long-term care, hospitals, clinic, and home health. I am looking forward to further growing my career here at Valley View and getting to know the residents and their families.
